Everyone has their own style of music

And everyone has their own choice of equipment, and everyone likes a certain type of music. for example, i use fruity loops because i can't afford any equipment for music just yet (scince i'm 16 and looking for a job). and i like trance/club music, and music that relaxes the mind.

what do you use for your music? and what type of electronic music do you prefer?

you really dont have to spend much to make music, you just have to be creative (like what twilite said about buying drum parts at yard sales) Even though Ive spent a small fortune on music equipment, my favorite instruments are the cheap synths Ive run through crappy guitar processors. If you get creative with it you can make crazy sounds that are hard for others to copy.

Music styles are giving you just approximate clue about music, so its not about styles. Its about electronic music. In every composition artist put something from himself and that gives personality for music which let you like or not some artists or bands.
My workstation mainly is based on hardware drum synthesizers, sequencers, synthesizers and some additional plugins for creative part + outboard equipment for mastering. Cool thing about it is that my computer doesn't get overloaded with software and gives me extra resources for recording, saving projects and some parts of mastering.

Fruity Loops (demo version), random samples i find on the net(blenders, car noises, etc., A modded pawnshop bass, e-violin, a yamaha keyboard, various parts of drums i found at yard sales/dumpsters, and a B.C. Rich Deluxe Warlock ran through an orange amplifier......I like trance, synthpop and darkwave the best.
