Electronic Underground

Artists and Fans of Electronic Music

I know I'm new here, and I don't know if this is a kosher question to ask...but: I'm finalizing my sound now, and i need feed back from everybody about how it makes you feel. The music I create is based off of emotions I've felt about people I've met and situations I've been in. But, alas, I've been working with my sound so much, I can't really "listen" to it. The two tracks I've posted on here ("I hate You," and "Leaving your body behind") are the latest additions to my ever-increasing demo. I think they fit the sound i want to create more than anything else I've created. I just want to know what emotions are triggered, if any, by this sound from people who actually participate/listen to electronic music.

You already told that yourself - you can't listen to your sound. I agree with you. You really need some fresh ears on your music - mastering. This means to give your tracks to someone else with neutral and fresh thinking to put finish and glance on them. This will add some life to your work. Without it there exists just different, senseless noises. If you want to do something more yourself, you have to work on mixing seriously.

yeah...but I'm REALLY glad I changed directions. I kinda went on hiatus due to another project...and have been studying under somebody who's been doing this for like 20+ years...I have a few things I would like to put up here...and to Igors Vorobjovs: Mastering @ home ----very possible...but not on consumer-grade equipment. :D The new project I'm playing for, Doomsday Refreshment Committee, was produced, recorded, and mastered in Jerry's apartment.

yep! nice to hear that you are serious about what you are doing. i hope you found good teacher and results will show up soon.
mastering... yes and not... you can do masters at home if you have decent equipment, but they will never stand up for excelent quality.
